Be a part of the excitement this year as the City of Heath presents its Annual Holiday in the Park on Friday, December 4 at the Heath Towne Center Park, located behind City Hall at 200 Laurence Drive. Festivities begin at 7 p.m.
“Holiday in the Park is one of our events that make Heath such a special place to live and visit,” says Mayor Ratcliffe. “We always look forward to this opportunity to gather and celebrate and invite residents and guests from surrounding towns to join us.”
Once the beautiful Christmas tree has been illuminated, the merry sound of children singing fills the night air as choirs from Amy Parks-Heath and Dorothy Smith Pullen Elementary Schools present seasonal favorites. Santa Claus arrives to a joyful greeting and makes his way to the Heath Community Room, where he visits with all of the eager children and poses for photographs. (Parents, be sure to bring your cameras!)
Complimentary cocoa, wassail and Christmas cookies are always a part of the celebration, and children can also enjoy rides around Towne Center Park on a miniature train.
Everyone attending is invited to bring canned food donations to benefit Rockwall Helping Hands.
