Citizens Share their Vision for Heath at Community Meeting

The 2015 Comprehensive Plan Update welcomed more than 75 citizens at the Community Open House held November 12 at City Hall. During the meeting, residents had the opportunity to share their vision, questions and concerns about the future of Heath.

This information will be used as the committee reviews and updates the Comprehensive Plan. This important planning tool, first created in 1995 and updated in 2008, guides the City’s growth and development over the next 10 to 20 years by representing the vision of what citizens want the City to become, and setting forth policies that allow the City to realize that vision.

The update process is being facilitated by urban planning consultants Freese and Nichols, Inc. Once an updated Comprehensive Plan is completed and approved by the committee, it will be presented to the City Council for adoption. Changes to the Comprehensive Plan will then be incorporated into the City’s Zoning Ordinance.
