Energy Emergency Alert Issued Due to Cold Weather

Earlier today the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) issued an Energy Emergency Alert due to the cold weather and high electricity use. ERCOT asked customers to conserve their electric usage. ERCOT now reports that conditions have returned to normal, but conservation is still needed as cold weather continues to cause a high demand for power.
