DPS STATIONS UPDATE SPEAKER: City of Heath Mayor Jeremiah McClure Public safety is a top priority for our community. Heath is ranked among the Top 10 Safest Cities in Texas, and our goal is to be No. 1. The completion of our new Department of Public Safety Stations 30 and 31 will play an important role in helping us get there. I want to thank the Heath Municipal Benefits Corporation for its partnership with the City and its support of the bond program that made these facilities possible. The original budget included funding for just one new public safety station. Through careful planning and the strategic use of City-owned property, we were able to build two stations that will serve our community well into the future and through Heath’s anticipated full build-out. Building both facilities on City-owned land provided significant cost savings, allowing us to maximize this important investment in public safety. Station 30 is located at 300 Chris Cuny Boulevard, while Station 31 is located at 1284 FM 740, alongside our new Heath Services Center, which was also funded through the bond program. Both stations are moving quickly toward completion and remain on schedule, and on budget, thanks in a large part to the outstanding work of our contractor, ACGM. Together, these stations will expand public safety coverage across our community and provide our exceptional Department of Public Safety officers, led by Chief Brandon Seery, with the facilities and resources they need and deserve. That includes improved spaces for training, equipment and vehicle storage, operations, and connecting with the residents we all proudly serve. We can’t wait to show you these new facilities during open houses next spring, so watch for more project updates and your invitation. Thank you for taking the time to stay up to date with your hometown. God bless Heath!
