“Gaining a clear understanding of the goals and expectations of the Mayor and City Council and the critical issues and challenges facing Heath such as our water resources, water infrastructure and road improvement projects are of paramount importance,” said Mr. Alexander.

“Meeting people serving on the boards and commissions, our governmental partners and our citizens, developing a rapport with City staff, and ensuring continued progress on current projects such as the construction of public safety facilities, the Comprehensive Plan update and preparation of the annual budget and long-term financial plan are equally important,” he said. “A focus on communication, transparency and customer service will also be top priorities.”

Mr. Alexander began his municipal government career as a Management & Budget Analyst with the City of Killeen, where he rose to Assistant Director of Finance. His next step was Director of Finance for the City of Copperas Cove, where he was promoted to City Manager.
