Heath residents enjoy fun and recreation right in their own hometown as the community’s parks and trails system continues to expand.

TOWNE CENTER PARK

GRAND OPENING JULY 4TH, 2026

Located behind City Hall at 200 Laurence Drive

Towne Center Park is circled by a paved trail that continues into the Highlands of Heath neighborhood. The park also offers soccer, football and baseball/softball fields, a playground, restroom facilities and a beautiful stone pavilion with picnic tables. The fields and the pavilion are available for private rental.

TERRY PARK

Located lakeside at the end of Terry Lane

This waterfront park features a state-of-the-art, two-lane boat ramp with two courtesy docks, walking trails, landscaping, lighting features, a restroom facility, covered pavilion, paved parking and erosion control.

THE RESERVE NATURE TRAIL

A New Natural Trail System

THE RESERVE NATURE TRAIL IS NOW OPEN

As a premier outdoor lifestyle community, expanding and enhancing the parks and trail system remains a top priority. New nature trails are now open and ready for residents and visitors to enjoy in The Reserve.

These trails can be accessed from Chris Cuny Boulevard, next to Heath High School, or from the paved path that loops around Tom Thumb. This paved trail winds through The Reserve and continues to Smirl Drive, connecting seamlessly with the new natural trails.

In total, more than 70 acres of City-HMBC-owned land have been opened for public use, offering a beautiful mix of paved and natural surfaces. Whether parking near the grocery store or at the trailheads, users now have access to miles of connected trails in the heart of the Towne Center area.

TRAIL RULES

  • Watch for Wildlife
  • No Unauthorized Motor/Electric Vehicles
  • Pets must be on a Leash
  • No Camping or Loitering
  • No Fire of Any Kind
  • No Tobacco or Alcohol
  • No Dumping
  • Trails Open Dawn Until Dusk

REQUIREMENTS/REFUNDS

Proof of residency must be shown at the time of payment with either a utility bill, driver’s license or credit card address.

Non-profit, community-based and faith-based organizations showing proof of 501(c) (3) status may pay the resident fee to reserve practice fields and pavilions.

Rental fees are non-refundable without a 72-hour advanced notice of cancellation. In the case of cancellation due to inclement weather, a refund request must be made within in 72 hours of the reservation date. A $10 administrative fee applies to all refunds.
