USAGE OF APLR CAMERAS

The Heath Department of Public Safety (Heath DPS) utilizes ALPR technology, including fixed and trailer-mounted systems, as a law-enforcement tool to enhance public safety, support patrol operations, assist criminal investigations, and improve the department’s ability to identify vehicles associated with criminal activity, missing persons, AMBER Alerts, BOLO notifications, and other legitimate law enforcement purposes.

DATA CAPTURE

All data captured by the ALPR system is the property of Heath DPS and shall be used solely for official law enforcement purposes. Access to ALPR data is restricted to authorized personnel with a legitimate law enforcement need. ALPR data may contain confidential or sensitive law enforcement information and shall be protected from unauthorized access, disclosure, or dissemination.
