It is an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens, staff, and City Council of Heath! We are an active outdoor lifestyle community striving to be premier in every way. The city’s important work happens best when the City Manager’s Office is in touch with our community. So, we welcome your city hall visits, phone calls, or email anytime you have a question, concern, or suggestion. We will respond within one business day.
Mr. Alexander has 30+ years of municipal management and financial experience, including serving as Assistant Town Administrator of the Town of Highland Park, Texas, for over 11 years. Mr. Alexander has also served as City Manager for the Cities of Greenville and Copperas Cove and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO).

CITY MANAGER’S OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implementing City Council policy
- Directing departments and the City’s administrative functions
- Providing day-to-day leadership in policy development and implementation
- Assuring an efficient and equitable delivery of City services
- Initiating and developing short and long-term special projects
- Overseeing the annual budget process
- Managing the City’s inter-governmental relations and public information functions
- Directing major economic development projects
