CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

The City of Heath Council meet the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings occur in the Council Chambers at Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive and typically begin at 6:30pm. Residents are encouraged to attend.

The Planning & Zoning Commission reviews and makes recommendations on land use and development issues. Their work helps shape the future of a community by guiding development to reflect the values of its residents.

The Park Board adopts and sets bylaws and establishes policies and procedures for proper administration of the parks and recreation program of the City subject to the approval of the City Council.

The Heath EDC/MBC are nonprofit organizations that help new and existing businesses, and assists with workforce development. The organizations are funded by sales taxes approved by City voters.

The Special Events Board is responsible for planning, funding, logistics, and execution of all City events. This includes annual citywide celebrations, ground breaking, grand openings and other one-of-a-kind events.

The ARB sets, reviews, and recommends architectural standards and policies to ensure that architectural development decisions align with community goals and technical standards.

The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body that hears requests for variances to a City’s zoning ordinance and makes recommendations to City Council.

The Club Municipal Management District No. 1 is a special purpose district created by an act of the 82nd Texas legislature in 2011 and is governed by a five member board of directors for Heath Golf and Yacht Club.
