The City Council adopted a resolution on August 12, 2025, to establish a Parks And Trails of Heath (PATH) Fundraising Committee.

The mission of PATH is to engage Heath citizens, local organizations and businesses in creating a high-quality park and trails system through public/private partnerships.

PATH was initiated by the Park Board in 2018 and in the summer of 2024, a new steering committee led by Chairman John Walker was formed to pursue public/private partnerships.

Recent accomplishments include a generous contribution by Heath citizens Bob and Kathy Tolbert (pictured below with Mayor Jeremiah McClure) to ensure that the eight new pickleball courts coming with the renovation of Towne Center Park now underway were included as originally designed. The Tolbert’s contribution also ensures that six of those courts will be shaded.

Another recent anonymous PATH donation supported a City Hall beautification effort that includes a spruced-up exterior and landscaping, plus fresh paint and new décor in the interior.

A beautiful new City Hall monument sign was also donated and constructed by Donnie Watts of D&D Commercial Landscape Management.

Citizens who are interested in actively supporting PATHs fund raising goals are invited to join the PATH Committee.

Fund raising goals will focus on expanding the City’s trail system to achieve community-wide connectivity, enhancing amenities in Towne Center Park, and beautifying roadways and entry points into Heath.
