WATER ALERT: APPROACHING STAGE 2 THRESHOLD – 07/23/25
The City is restricted to 6 million gallons of water per day.
Today we are fast approaching this threshold. If City water use exceeds 90% of the daily water supply limit for two days in a seven-day period (5.4 million gallons), Stage 2 restrictions may be initiated to avoid a water crisis.
Water use has already exceeded the 5.4-million-gallon benchmark once within the current 7-day period. A second day will require moving to Stage 2, which allows watering only once per week.
Based on the City’s water use data:
- 7/22/25 – 407 customers irrigating outside of their scheduled day used 952,955 gallons of water
- 7/21/25 – 454 customers irrigating outside their scheduled day used 1,133,985 gallons of water
Please help the community avoid moving to Stage 2 by following your watering schedule with no watering any day between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
