TERRY LANE REHABILITATION

This project received Rockwall County Commissioners Court approval in January 2026 under a $2 million interlocal agreement.

Terry Lane is now being rehabilitated using reinforced concrete panels, providing the most durable repair available. All roadway sections requiring this treatment have been identified. Roadway edges will be rebuilt and leveled. Construction will occur one side at a time, allowing traffic to continue ingress and egress throughout the project.

The Terry Lane trail component is an active project currently being pursued with the engineering department surveying for the acquisition of easements to complete a continuous trail connection along the roadway. Right of Entry forms for surveying have been sent to residents who will be impacted.

01.27.26 – PAVING REPAIRS BEGIN FEB 2

Boardwalk Paving will begin paving repairs along Terry Lane on February 2, 2026. The work is expected to take approximately 90 days, weather permitting. Boardwalk Paving will strive to complete the project ahead of schedule.

Work will begin at the far west end of Terry Lane at Peninsula Court. As construction advances, Boardwalk Paving will communicate directly with homeowners when work is scheduled near or in front of driveways to coordinate access.

Please be mindful of construction trucks and traffic control along Terry Lane and use caution when traveling through the area. Citizens will be able to drive in and out on Terry Lane, but it will be down to one lane while Boardwalk Paving is working in each area.

The road edges will be be rebuilt and leveled and the City’s contract engineer is starting the process of surveying properties along Terry Lane to acquire easements in order to build and connect a continuous trail from Terry Park to near Meadowview Drive. Eventually, the trail will follow the full length of Terry Lane.

11.21.25 – Review Stage

The rehabilitation of Terry Lane is a much-anticipated improvement for the community. It is funded through an Interlocal Agreement with Rockwall County for $2 million. Staff is coordinating with the County Commissioner and County Engineer on the scope, including adding a trail portion to the project.
