The Safe Routes to School project is underway!

The trail section from the FM-740 (Laurence)/Smirl intersection to RHHS is the first section to be constructed and should be completed by June 30.

The next phase will be the trail section connecting the intersection to Amy Parks Elementary and across the front of the school. That trail section is scheduled to begin June 23 and be completed July 30. The last section, from Pullen Elementary to approximately Bison Meadow, is scheduled to begin  July 1 and be complete by July 28.

The cleanup of the entire project is scheduled to be complete by the end of August. This CIP project is funded in part by a $1.2 million grant.
