NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 2019 ANNUAL BUDGET

The City of Heath will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 concerning its 2019 Fiscal Budget for the period of October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. The Public Hearing will be held at a meeting of the City Council at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 200 Laurence Dr., Heath, Texas.

This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $179,000, which is a 2.7% increase from last year’s budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $297,945. This budget is based on a tax rate of $0.389105, lower than the effective tax rate of $0.390761, and lower than last year’s tax rate of $0.417311.

A copy of the proposed 2019 Fiscal Budget has been filed with the City Secretary’s Office, Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Dr., Heath, Texas and may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
