Beyond the Meeting Room. A Legacy for Heath.

Every great community is defined by its shared spaces. The Parks and Trails of Heath (PATH) initiative is designed to create those spaces—the parks where families gather, the trails where neighbors connect, and the greenways that define our community’s identity. But dreams require action, and projects depend on funding.

We are seeking leaders, not just volunteers

Membership on PATH comes with a clear understanding: your primary responsibility is to inspire others to give. This is a leadership role focused on proactive fundraising and community stewardship.

We’re looking for individuals who will actively engage our community—from local businesses to neighbors and friends—to build a strong, sustainable future for Heath.

While your personal passion is essential, your commitment to fundraising is what will drive our mission forward. This isn’t just about attending meetings; it’s about leaving a legacy. It’s about being part of something generational, creating the parks and trails that will enrich the lives of Heath residents for decades.

Are you ready for the challenge?

Ready to step up and make a lasting difference? Join the legacy.

PARKS AND TRAILS OF HEATH (PATH) MOVES FORWARD WITH NEW INITIATIVE

The PATH Story
PATH was launched by the City of Heath Park Board in 2019 to unite citizens in creating the parks, trails and green spaces to increase the quality of life and community vitality of our premier, lakeside open space community.

PATH FORWARD… CONNECTING HEATH

PATH’s early accomplishments illustrate what citizens and businesses can do when united around a common goal…expanding the Parks and Trails system to benefit residents today, and tomorrow.

Connectivity through trails and sidewalks, green space and parks fosters…

  • Health and Wellness
  • Economic Strength
  • Higher Property Values
  • Transportation Choices
  • A Sense of Place
  • Community Identity

Numerous studies document that home values near a park, greenway or recreational area can be 8 to 20% higher.

2024/2025 PATH Projects

Made Possible by Generous Donations

Bob and Kathy Tolbert’s contribution to the PATH program ensures the new pickleball pavilion at Towne Center Park is constructed as designed with eight full pickleball courts, six of which will be shaded.  Pictured below from left: Kathy and Bob Tolbert with Heath City Mayor Jeremiah McClure.

Also an anonymous donation to PATH to support a Heath City Hall beautification plan that includes refurbishing the exterior monument sign, hardscaping the entrance and exit corners, expanding the front landscape beds, and extending the sidewalk to connect the City’s public trails system to Amy Parks Elementary School.
