The Heath Department of Public Safety (DPS) is triple certified, meaning every officer is fully trained and certified in law enforcement, fire protection, and emergency medical services.

ABOUT CHIEF BRANDON SEERY

Chief Seery leads a department that includes 37 officers who are triple certified as firefighters, police officers, and EMTs.

Chief Seery has been with the department since 2014 and was appointed to serve as the Director of Public Safety in 2020.

Chief Seery holds a master’s degree in public management from Texas A&M University and several certifications which include Master Peace Officer, Certified Public Manager, Certified Fire Executive, and Fire Service Chief Executive Officer. Chief Seery is also a designated Chief Fire Officer by the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
