PUBLIC HEARING: ORDINANCE AMENDMENT – LOCAL RETAIL DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that the Heath Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing at a meeting that begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Further notice is given that a second public hearing is scheduled where the City Council will consider and act on the request and the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission at a meeting that begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2026. Both meetings will be held at Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Dr., Heath, Texas.
The following items will be considered:
Conduct a Public Hearing and Act on an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Heath, Texas, Amending Chapter 159.27 “(LR) Local Retail District”, Chapter 159.42, “Definitions, and Chapter 159.43, “Conditional Use Permits; Permit Requirements” of the Heath Code of Ordinances to establish development regulations for a Package Store land use and to define Package Store.
